Norbert Becker, (1953), is a Luxembourg national and a global senior business executive involved with multinational financial institutions and families in Europe, Central Asia, China, Latin America, Middle East and the US. 

He joined Arthur Andersen in Brussels, moved to Chicago and then opened the Luxembourg office. Appointed Managing Partner of the Central Asia, Eastern Europe, India and Middle East region, he was based in London. Promoted to Global Head of Administration, Finance and Infrastructure at Andersen, he led the merger of 60 firms with EY after the firm’s liquidation. Promoted to Global CFO of EY, he sat on the Global Board of Directors and was based in New York. 

He left the firm in 2004, to embark on a career as an investor and independent director. As an investor, he chaired a venture capital fund and was founding chairman of Compagnie de Banque Privée Quilvest, taken over by the Intesa San Paolo group. In 2018, he was voted Luxembourg’s most influential economic decision-maker by the Paperjam Top 100. 

Today, he is the Trustee of the Grand-Ducal Household in Luxembourg, Chairman of Paypal Europe and Paypal International, Lombard Group, The Bank of London Europe, Director of China Everbright Bank Europe, Director of Banque Edmond de Rothschild (Europe) and of the Ferrero family office. He is also the Governor of the American Hospital in Paris. Norbert was elated to the rank of Commander of the Order of the Oak and Officer of the Civil and Military Merit of Grand-Duke Adolphe de Nassau, both in Luxembourg. Norbert went to business school and holds a doctorate in law hc from Jack Welch Business College of Fairfield, Connecticut, US.
