Volodymyr Ben, Acting Head of the State Space Agency of Ukraine.

His academic background includes studying at the Kyiv Air Force Institute, graduating in 1998, and obtaining a PhD in Aircraft Manufacturing Technologyin 2004.

Mr. Ben spent twenty-five years building his career in the Armed Forces ofUkraine. For a significant part of this period, he worked in an organizationengaged in quality control of rocket and space technology.

Since 2018, as a civilian, he has been working as the first deputy head of oneof the above-mentioned institutions.

Many years of work in the aviation and space industry have given him anextremely deep base of technical theoretical knowledge and practical skills inthe field of aviation and space technologies, standardization, production processorganization, quality control, and resource management.

Mr. Ben is the author of 25 published scientific papers, including onemonograph, on aerospace engineering, in particular materials science.

In 2021, Mr. Beny was appointed the First Deputy Chairman of the StateSpace Agency of Ukraine, and since the end of 2022 he holds the position of the Acting Chairman of the SSA.  

As a speaker at Nexus2050, Mr. Ben will provide insights into the work ofUkraine's space sector in this extremely challenging and full of daily threatstime of Russia's military attack on Ukraine. He will share information on howUkrainian space companies are working under rocket fire and developing theircapabilities in these difficult conditions. Mr. Ben will present the State SpaceAgency's plans and vision for the future.
