Loris Bergeron is working at Banque de Luxembourg as a Sr. Software Engineer, where he is currently working on experiments related to Artificial Intelligence. He is also a PhD Candidate at the SnT of the University of Luxembourg, where he is researching the definition of the sustainability impacts of companies using Artificial Intelligence. The long-term goal of this scientific research is to develop a cutting-edge solution that will enable real-time analysis of behaviour in terms of alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Loris holds an MSc in Computer Science and an MBA with a specialization in financial mathematics. Convinced that IT should be used to create value for organizations and their customers, he has developed a solid expertise in designing innovative, high-performance IT applications. Throughout his career, Loris has had the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, most notably at the R&D centre of a world-renowned steel manufacturer, where he developed a predictive maintenance application to predict the risk of industrial equipment failures. He also co-founded a FinTech in 2015 at the age of 22, where he applied his skills to create an AI-driven liquidity risk management software suite for Luxembourg investment funds. After working for a law firm specializing in intellectual property and for LuxDev, the Luxembourg's agency for development cooperation, Loris joined the Banque de Luxembourg.
With his multidisciplinary experience and vision of IT, Loris will share his knowledge and expertise to demystify the issues surrounding Artificial Intelligence and how to put it into practice in organizations.
