Dr. Hamid is the Principal R&D and Innovation Lead at Qatar Mobility Innovations Center (QMIC), where he has been leading the technology and product development of several smart solutions in the areas of smart living, leveraging advanced technologies such as AI, IoT, Drones, Connected and Autonomous Mobility, etc. Several of his innovative solutions have played a pivotal role in the success of the Qatar FIFA World Cup 2022.

Before moving to Qatar, he worked at Hitachi in Sophia Antipolis, France, where he was leading the development of connected vehicles solutions. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the esteemed French school Telecom Paris Tech in 2008, and his research endeavors have yielded a remarkable collection of scientific research publications, both in esteemed international conferences and journals, along with multiple patents.
