With just a hundred days until its inaugural edition, Nexus2050, the international tech event in Luxembourg, is refining its themes, announcing its first speakers and partnerships.

Featuring over 200 international and national speakers across 50 hours of presentations and discussions on four stages simultaneously, with over 100 exhibitors and more than 200 start-ups, Nexus2050 is not just an exhibition or symposium; it’s a dynamic platform for future-shaping conversations.

"Nexus2050 is a global gathering for networking, learning, and generating business opportunities," explains Kamel Amroune, co-founder of the organizing EIG. "The anticipated audience, along with speakers and exhibitors, will come from all corners of the world, including Europe and Luxembourg. Nexus2050 will also serve as an excellent showcase for Luxembourg's top-notch technology offerings, both from private and institutional sectors."

For its inaugural edition, Nexus2050 announces Ukraine as the invited country. "We have partnered with the Luxembourg-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce to offer a comprehensive program, including three roundtable discussions, keynotes, and a selection of twenty Ukrainian startups with a focus on Cyberdefense, FinTech, Space & Telecom" notes Mike Koedinger, the second co-founder of Nexus2050. “We believe in the role of technology in sustainability, both playing a decisive function in achieving humanity's net-zero goal by 2050 and supporting the development and business in Ukraine despite being under attack”.

The central themes of Nexus2050 will revolve around AI in its various aspects: continuous innovations, productivity gains, ethical considerations, and its impact on governance and leadership. Additionally, Nexus2050 will address other topics such as Cybersecurity, Fintech, Sustainability, Digital Citizen, Knowledge, and Talent. "Luxembourg is an international financial hub, and technology plays a strategic role in its development," comments Kamel Amroune. "Therefore, we will discuss topics ranging from Regtech to Fintech, with significant presence from VCs and funds."

From its first edition, Nexus2050 occupies a strategic position in the Luxembourgish ecosystem, attracting investors to Luxembourg and companies considering establishing their European hubs. The official opening will be attended by H.R.H. the Crown Prince, and throughout the two days, interventions from ministers Xavier Bettel, Lex Delles, and Gilles Roth will take place. The Government of Luxembourg is an official partner of the event, along with the European Commission, Ville de Luxembourg and Luxinnovation. Last but not least, the Chamber of Commerce is Nexus2050 "Global Partner."
