An Interview with Ananda Kautz, Member of the Management Board (Innovation, Payments, Sustainability) at ABBL
ABBL is a partner of Nexus2050. This inaugural edition will focus on generative AI and sustainability, as well as cybersecurity, fintech, skills, and pure tech. More than 5,000 attendees are expected, alongside over 200 experts and speakers, 200 startups from around the globe, and 100 exhibitors. It will span two days, feature 5 stages, and cover more than 12,000 square meters.
What inspired your organization to join Nexus2050 for its first edition?
Our decision to join Nexus2050 is first of all driven by ABBL’s commitment to support a major international event around innovation which is key to position Luxembourg. Nexus represents more than just a tech event, it's an opportunity for our community to come together, foster collaboration, and showcase Luxembourg's potential. ABBL will be present with its booth to foster collaboration between fintechs and banks.
Which topics at Nexus2050 are of particular interest to you? And why?
I’m particularly interested in discussions on Open Finance, Cloud, Crypto/DLT, ESG, AI, mutualisation and Talent, as these topics are crucial for the future of banking. Open Finance promotes transparency and customer empowerment, while Cloud technology enhances operational efficiency and security. Crypto/DLT innovations are transforming transactions and record-keeping, and ESG considerations are vital for sustainable banking practices. Understanding trends in Talent acquisition and management helps build a skilled workforce, and advancements in AI offer opportunities for improved data analysis, customer service, and fraud detection. These areas are essential for addressing industry challenges and ensuring our members stay at the forefront of financial sector advancements.
What criteria will you use to gauge the success of Nexus2050?
ABBL will assess Nexus2050's success by the quality of discussions on key topics.
